2006 News Wrap Up!   The big weekend is here - and we are putting the final touches on the events.
     We wish we could have accommodated everyone who wanted to participate, but we truly have a full house! All tickets have been purchased (and paid for) and all seats filled. Please make sure your name appears on the (soon to be updated) attendees' page at on the 50th Anniversary page. No tickets sold at the door!
     The events registration table at the hotel will open Saturday at 4:00 - make sure you check in and pick up your ID badge. It will give you access to the cocktail party, dinner/dance and the Sock Hop at Hammond on Sunday.
     On Saturday, the cocktail party is from 6:00 - 7:00 in the Gazebo, and the Dinner/Dance follows in the Ballroom at 7:00. The tables in the Ballroom will be identified by class year with balloons flying high, and will open immediately following the cocktail party (not before!)
     We have a class photo schedule that requires some precision, so please note the times! (The photographer will be setting up in the Wythe Room in the same hallway as the Ballroom) Informal shots will appear on a website at a later time, but you will be able to purchase the class photos that evening for $20.00 each.
     The photo schedule: Teachers 8:30; 1958 - 8:40; 1959 - 8:50; 1960 - 9:00; 1961 - 9:10; 1962 - 9:20; 1963 - 9:30; 1964 - 9:40; 1965 - 9:50; 1966 - 10:00; 1967 - 10:10; 1968 - 10:20; 1969 - 10:30; 1970 - 10:40; 1971 - 10:50. Other groups such as fraternities, sororities, sports groups, etc., will be taken after the class photos.
     The Sock Hop is Sunday from 12:00 - 3:00 in the Hammond Cafeteria. Park in back of the school, come into the cafeteria for an enjoyable afternoon of fine food and good music, and one more chance to be together. Get ready for a stroll down memory lane - there will be a phenomenal display of our high school memorabilia - too much to be displayed Saturday night! Socks are optional! (again, you must be pre-registered for this event)
     The school itself is a hard hat area again, and one big construction zone. We won't have access to many areas.
     Almost every class is having a Friday night event. If you don't know who to contact, please let me know. And band members, don't forget the reunion with Roy Smith!
     And finally, a very good friend and thoughtful person addressed her classmates with these words. I can't do better, so I am going to borrow from her:
     "The 50th gala anniversary committee has asked all us reunion organizer to let people know that ONLY those who have pre-registered for the Saturday (and Sunday) event will be permitted to attend. It's going to be wall-to-wall people, and they have to be very strict about not exceeding the current number. It's about obeying the fire code, keeping the insurance valid, and simply having room in the room to move around. So....no matter your charm or the money you offer, if haven't pre-registered, they can't and won't let you in"
